Job Description:
Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, the Transport Admin Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the duty Transport Shift Manager. This position will provide general administrative support as directed by the Transport Operations Manager as necessary.
Salary: £29,642.04 per annum.
Working hours: Days, 07.00-19.00
* Week 1: Monday and Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (rest days Wednesday & Thursday)
* Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday (rest Monday & Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Key Duties of Transport Admin Assistant:
* Ensure all drivers are briefed/instructed and given correct paperwork.
* Ensure all drivers are correctly de-briefed when they return to site.
* Carry out driver licence checks.
* Deal with service agents / raise and process vehicle defects.
* Update and use various IT / Business systems.
* Update various spreadsheets.
* Answer and deal with incoming calls to the transport office.
* Support Transport Shift Manager.
Qualifications:
* Strong communication skills in order to give accurate information to drivers and confident telephone manner.
* The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
* Able to work as part of a team or individually.
* Be professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
* Good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Applications.
