What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Building Surveyor:
As a Senior Building Surveyor, your role will include:
* Leading Project Delivery: Oversee refurbishment, improvement, and modernization projects, and play a key part in feasibility studies, contract administration, and stakeholder management.
* Mentorship and Team Leadership: Coach and mentor junior surveyors, guiding them through their professional journey, including RICS APC support. Lead by example and inspire excellence.
* Client Management & Business Development: Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and profitability. Your commercial awareness and industry insight will also support business development through bid preparation and submissions.
* Technical Expertise: Utilise your knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts, asset reviews, technical documentation, and statutory compliance to deliver high-quality surveying services that exceed expectations.
* Professional Services Delivery: Bring your expertise in specialist surveying skills such as Dilapidations, Party Wall, Fire Risk, and Access Assessments, ensuring client needs are fully met.
What You Bring as a Senior Building Surveyor:
* Qualifications: A degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent RICS-accredited degree) and Chartered status are highly desirable.
* Technical and Industry Experience: Significant building surveying experience with a strong grasp of health, safety, and statutory compliance. Familiarity with drafting technical documents is a must.
* Leadership Skills: Proven experience in mentoring, training, and coaching team members, with excellent time management and project delivery skills.
* Commercial Acumen: Confident in managing clients, with a deep understanding of profitability and business development.
