The SAE Institute (SAE) is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the Student Services Team in Liverpool as a Student Wellbeing Adviser.

Our ultimate goal is to prepare our students for a realistic work environment making the course, facilities, lecturers as well as the atmosphere as close to the industry working environment as possible.
Working within the Student Services Team, the post holder will primarily be responsible for providing wellbeing advice, guidance and support to students. The Student Wellbeing Adviser will develop and provide proactive, early intervention specialist support to students who may experience significant barriers to study due to their personal circumstances. The role holder will play a role in safeguarding and protection of vulnerable students, through direct intervention, signposting or referral to specialist services.
They will encourage and support students to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) and arrange access to support recommended in needs assessment reports. They will support the development, organisation, promotion and evaluation of the service and will implement changes under guidance from Senior Managers where appropriate. The post holder is expected to keep up to date with developments across the sector and to identify good practices in supporting student need within an HE environment.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and committed higher education professional, with a proven track-record of delivering high quality disability support in the area of mental health and ensuring complex cases are responded to and dealt with appropriately. They will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a proactive, independent manner and demonstrate resilience and empathy for students managing ongoing and complex difficulties.
This is a full-time post.

Salary: £25,000 per annum depending on experience
