Job Description:
HAYS Education are looking for Food Technology Teachers to work in schools across East Sussex and surrounding areas. Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers high-quality supply teaching service, helping Schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies.
We are always interested in talking to teachers with any level of experience - whether you’re an NQT/ECT, or an experienced teacher, full-time or part-time. Whether you are looking for day to day work to boost your experience or chose flexible working hours or are wanting something on a longer term or permanent basis.
To be considered for the position, you will:
1. Have QTS or be an NQT/ECT and have experience of working as a teacher.
2. Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
3. Have a genuine desire to be part of a committed team of school staff.
What you’ll need to succeed:
1. Be enthusiastic and versatile.
2. Be resilient and effectively manage behaviour.
3. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
Working on supply as a FT teacher is an excellent way of getting your foot in the school door, for you to get to know a school and for a school to get to know you. You will benefit from working in a range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools which can be another pathway to regular, long term, or possibly permanent work.
You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience and the responsibilities of each assignment, plus you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year.
