Secondary School Admin Assistant/ SIMS Operator Needed in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
Start date: January - Ongoing (with permanent opportunity)
An admin position has arisen at a large and reputable secondary school in Nuneaton. The role will be full time/ 5 days per week. To be successful for this role you need to be capable of ensuring proper flow of office procedures and support the school contacting and leasing with parents/ carers. You MUST have 6 months experience working within a UK school or college and be proficient (or at least have experience) with SIMS computer software. You must be able to maintain a positive and friendly school image at all times and be confident in your ability to work as part of a large team. The school are looking into taking on a preanant member of staff in the Admin Team from Easter 2025, so there is a real opportunity for the successfull applicant to be offered this role at the end of the year.
The duties for the successful applicant will include:
Being responsible for providing a comprehensive and highly efficient admin service.
Dealing with enquires from parents, students both in person and on the telephone.
Interacting with Senior Leadership and actioning requests
Handling a variety of tasks quickly, efficiently and calmly
Organising and facilitating a variety of educational or social activities
Completing work to deadlines and displaying excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills.

Working hours are generally 8:30am to 4pm, although some roles, particularly those that are student facing, can include weekend or evening work. You may have to work overtime at certain points in the year, for example during examinations, enrolment or academic quality visits.
Part-time work and job shares are usually offered, and term-time only working is sometimes possible.
