Job Title: Safety Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,100 depending on qualifications and experience

What you’ll be doing:
\n
\n
* Facilitating the implementation of relevant Product Safety processes and production of deliverables
\n
* Supporting with the management of the hazards, risks and associated mitigations and contribute to the development of the hazard log and the maturity of information contained within
\n
* Developing safety arguments to go into the safety report
\n
* Organising and facilitating HAZIDs and review meetings and contributing to other HAZIDs when required
\n
* Taking responsibility for product safety assessment against major subsystems or key complex technologies
\n
\n
Your skills and experiences:
\n
Essential:
\n
\n
* Experience in product safety management processes and techniques
\n
* Familiar with report writing and developing safety arguments
\n
\n
Desirable:
\n
\n
* Experience leading hazard identification meetings
\n
* Background within a Naval/Maritime environment or similar highly regulated industry
\n
\n
Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.
\n
Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.
\n

The Product Safety team:
\n
As a Safety Engineer in the Product Safety team, you will be reporting into the Product Safety Manager and will be involved in the Canadian River Class Destroyer programme. This is an exciting long term global naval programme in which you will work with international customers and stakeholders. With the chance to gain exposure across the business and even the potential for international travel you will be able to build your network within a global business. We will also support you with additional learning and development opportunities.
