We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Mechanical and Electrical Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive designs, detailed drawings, and intricate schematics using a suite of current software tools. These designs will meet the relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and other standards related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all work complies with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice, or guidelines.
Review and agree on any project changes that may impact overall programme plans, costs, or timescales with the relevant Project Manager and client.
Manage projects effectively to ensure the coordination of technical elements meets project targets.
Provide exceptional proficiency in electrical building services design and a deep understanding of technical requirements, legislation, and industry best practices.
Utilise the most effective procurement methods to achieve the best delivery of projects for the client and raise awareness of the services provided.
Carry out designs using AutoCAD, Revit, Stabicad, and relevant design tools.
Provide professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for individuals who want to drive change and make a significant difference by contributing to the aims of a diverse and inclusive organisation. Ideally, you will have:
Experience in designing, specifying, site surveying, and project management of multiple building projects.
Demonstrable evidence of successful project management of complex multi-disciplinary projects, including budgets and final accounts.
Experience in preparing feasibility studies, budget estimates, budget control, financial monitoring, contractual management, and negotiating with clients.
Working knowledge of sustainable, environmentally friendly building services, including BREEAM and SBEM audits.
Broad knowledge of building services engineering design materials and technologies.
The ability to make decisions and solve problems to meet operational targets, involving devising solutions and prioritising available resources.
A basic understanding of sustainability in the workplace and a commitment to supporting the business with its carbon reduction strategy.What you'll get in return
