Thedemandsofthe Anaestheticdepartmentmeanthatcloseandongoingcollaboration with SAS grade colleagues is required. A degree of mutual two-way flexibility in sessional provision is anticipated.This job involves cross site working between our two principal hospitals at York & Scarborough, with Scarborough Hospital as the base site
Individual job plans will be discussed and finalised with the clinical director on appointmentandwillbecomeoperationaloncommencement. Alljobsplansareagreed in line with the Trusts Job Planning Principles.
AtScarborough Hospitalsurgical services are supported by an 8 bedded Intensive Care Unit which has funding for up to 6 level 3 patients at any one time. The main theatresuitecomprises fivetheatres,inadditiontowhichthereisaseparatematernitytheatre.
Surgical services at Scarborough currently include; general surgery (including emergencies),trauma,gynaecology,ENT,maxillo-facial,oralsurgery,ophthalmology and urology. We now also have a successful and expanding day unit to support thiswork.
