Heacham Group Practice has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse, or a qualified nurse who would like to move into a practice role, to join our team on a part-time basis. The role will be to work 20-25 hours per week and is across two of our sites; Heacham and Snettisham. Working hours/days can be flexible and can be discussed at interview.
The practice nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing general medical services to the patients of the practice, delivering care within their own level of competency and scope of practice.
Main duties of the job
* Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the GPs and other members of the nursing team.
* Wound care and dressings.
* Removal of sutures/clips.
* Urinalysis and preparation of specimens for laboratory and analysis.
* Venepuncture.
* Routine immunisations and vaccinations.
* Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings and acting as chaperone as required.
* Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs.
* Interest in chronic disease management.
* Following agreed clinical protocols as appropriate.

* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
