Job Description
Concept Engineering Services is a leading provider of ground investigation services, seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our growing team in either our London or Coventry site. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Your duties will be mainly related to the management of site investigation projects from inception to completion, working on Concept’s sites located mainly in London and the South East of England.
You will be required to deliver the investigations safely, to meet specification requirements and within programme and budget constraints. As part of your duties, you will be required to review CPPs and RAMS, manage resource requirements, manage site activities, and liaise with all parties.
Throughout your role, you will develop relationships with new and existing clients to promote Concept’s capabilities and increase our opportunities for new business. You will be involved in promoting innovation and technical excellence within the company and the industry.
Key tasks are, but are not limited to the following. You will be undertaking these activities and also mentoring and training staff members in these activities:
* Management of Projects.
* Approval of project-specific RAMs and Programmes of Works including financial and cost programmes.
* Ensuring that fieldwork is adequately supervised and managed in accordance with safety, quality, and commercial targets and objectives.
* Ensuring that technical and data quality is maintained on your projects.
* Overseeing and mentoring soil and rock logging to current standards.
* Compilation and issue of Applications for Payment and management of Compensation Events.
* Approval of project deliverables such as data and reports.
* Liaising with Clients and sub-contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
* Assisting the bid department in pricing projects and seeking new opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will have a BSc in Civil Engineering / Earth Sciences or a relevant subject with around 10 years of industry experience and strong site skills. You may also have a Masters. Ideally, you will have completed health and safety training schemes such as CSCS (Manager level), SMSTS, CDM 2015 Regulations, etc.
