The responsibility for Offset and Industrial Partnership delivery execution sits within the Programmes Export Operations (PExO) Directorate.
Offset is an obligation to undertake local activities – direct procurement, technology transfer, investment, etc. – in support of an export delivery contract. It can involve a package of work that is either linked to the main contract (direct offset), aligned to MBDA's general business (semi-direct offset), or unrelated to MBDA's core business (indirect offset).
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Industrial Participation involves working closely with export partners in order to transfer MBDA's (or our Supplier's) technology and knowledge, such that they can build their own equipment under a licence agreement and sell to their domestic Customer.
This role will be responsible for supporting UK Offset and Industrial Partnership delivery on the NAREW Munition Transfer of Technology Programme, forging relationships with in-country partners and authorities and internal teams to ensure that:
* The Offset or Industrial Partnership Contract is maintained and negotiated (where necessary) throughout the life of the Contract;
* Existing Offset and Industrial Partnership Contracts are delivered on time and to cost;
* New Offset and Industrial Partnership requirements are understood and deliverable ahead of bid submission / contract signature;
* Offsets credits and licence / royalty fees claimed, liabilities removed and Agreements closed.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Lead and be accountable for medium / high complexity Offset / Industrial Partnership programmes on behalf of the OPM team, ensuring budgets are maintained and that the programme is delivered on time.
* Lead the overall country strategy for Offset and Industrial Partnerships for area of responsibility.
* Accountable to internal stakeholders and the Offset Authority / Industrial Partner for programme delivery, risk and cost management.
* Prepare for and lead negotiations of amendments to existing Contracts where required.
* Claiming Offset Credits and licence / royalty fees, removing liabilities and closing Agreements.
* Provide input and gain approval for bids relating to new Offset / Industrial Partnership Requirements, ensuring they are understood and deliverable ahead of bid submission / Contract signature.
* Collect knowledge, best practice and lessons learned to ensure MBDA is appropriately equipped and structured with the right processes to successfully deliver Offset and Industrial Partnership obligations.
* Provide advice and guidance relating to Offset / Industrial Partnership delivery where required.
* Provide functional and transversal support to the overall Programmes Export Operations organisation to identify efficiencies and improvements.

* Strong relationship building experience (both external and internal) in an export environment.
* Experience in negotiating with Customers and / or Industrial Partners.
* Ability to operate flexibly and able to add definition around fluid situations.
* Project Management skills able to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
* Ability to delegate and motivate a variety of functions within the business to ensure that our obligations are completed.
* Awareness of Offset Agreements, Licencing Agreements and execution of said agreements.
* Ability to provide leadership to the team, where applicable.
