About the Project:
The Policy Centre for African Peoples (PCAP) is seeking to recruit a consultant or a group of consultants to evaluate the effectiveness of the Lead4Hope Network project, which aims to strengthen the leadership skills and amplify the voices of existing or aspiring leaders from African or disadvantaged backgrounds based in London. This project, which runs from April 2024 to April 2026, is focused on building a lasting Network that will transform participants into active agents of positive social change, justice, and collective advancement.
Project Objectives:
1. Provide 20 Lead4Hope Network participants with 4 one-to-one leadership training sessions tailored to their specific needs.
2. Facilitate up to 12 Lead4Hope Network meetings to provide the trained leaders with relevant nurturing and a supportive infrastructure aimed at enabling them to amplify their voices.
3. Provide participants with a personalised toolkit aimed at enabling them to operate independently.
Responsibilities:
The independent assessors will be required to:
1. Evaluate the effectiveness of the Lead4Hope Network project against the stated objectives.
2. Assess the impact of the activities on the participants’ ability to amplify their voices and achieve their goals.
3. Provide a detailed report highlighting the outcomes achieved and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in project evaluation and assessment, preferably within the charitable or community sector.
2. Strong analytical and report writing skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently and maintain objectivity.
5. Knowledge of London and the challenges facing London leaders from African or disadvantaged backgrounds is desirable but not mandatory.
