JOB DESCRIPTION: HSE Manager, Health and Safety Manager - Manufacturing, Specialist materials.
Reporting to the Site Lead at our Ashton-Under-Lyne facility, you'll cover our Ashton and Bolton sites (80-20% split).
As our Health and Safety Manager, you will:
1. Play a vital role in operations to provide expert guidance and leadership with a robust and professional approach to all things HSE.
2. Drive, direct and mentor the HSE officer based in Bolton and promote a proactive safety-first culture across the organisation to safeguard the health and safety of our employees.
3. Lead HSE projects and initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget, and lead internal and external audits to adhere to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: HSE Manager, Health and Safety Manager - Manufacturing, Specialist materials.
You will have a wide and varying range of responsibilities but see below for a snapshot.
Your key tasks will be to:
1. Develop, introduce, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
2. Promote and maintain a proactive, safety-first culture.
3. Conduct and control risk assessments and safety inspections.
4. Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative measures.
5. Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to reduce environmental impact.
6. Report and liaise with site leads and group HSE partners.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: HSE Manager, Health and Safety Manager - Manufacturing, Specialist materials.
To be successful in your application you'll have a solid proven track record in HSE, from a manufacturing background.
You'll also have:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations.
2. Experience in a senior HSE role with strong leadership skills to drive, develop and manage your team and influence the entire business.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001.
4. Experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
5. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety.
