Job summary An exciting opportunity for a motivated reporting radiographer to join our team of advanced practitioners has arisen. Your role will be reporting x-rays across various work streams, providing a service seven days a week. You will be expected to: To carry out the full range of imaging examinations to a consistently high standard, ensuring compliance with imaging protocols. To teach and supervise radiographers, students, and apprentices. Work in conjunction with the radiologist. To assume responsibility for reporting own workload working across a range of patient pathways and liaise with other healthcare professionals and be responsible for the day-to-day organisation in accordance with trust/departmental protocols, as well as provide management/operational guidance within X-ray. Main duties of the job The main duties of the role are defined into four key areas. (Please see job description). Clinical - Undertake examinations autonomously and report from agreed referral sources, ensuring that reporting is undertaken within scope of practice and ability using a high level of specialist knowledge and acting within departmental governance. Research/audit/service review and evaluation - participate in audit, research and benchmarking activities to ensure effective safe and evidence-based practice is delivered with high standard of patient care Education - Provide specialist advice and support to students, junior staff and the multidisciplinary team and advise on all radiographic aspects of imaging procedures. Managerial - Assist the wider management team in radiology, with high level workload, investigations and incidents.
