Responsibilities:
• Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
• Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
• Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
• Control PPE stock levels
• Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
• Use Microsoft Projects to prepare, update and maintain work programs and order materials in coherence with the build program
• Read bills, and schedule take offs from site drawings
• Maintain and update the purchase order log
• Maintain and update comparison workbooks
• Add tender codes to purchase orders, purchase order workbook, and invoices
