Temporary Traffic Signal Installer, Winsford
Overview
We are looking for a Temporary Traffic Signal Installer to install, repair, and remove our Urban64 Temporary traffic Light system on Local Authority Roads and National Highways sites around the UK.
About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to install, repair, and remove our Urban64 Temporary traffic Light system on Local Authority Roads and National Highways sites around the UK. You will be required to follow and work to the highest level of Health and Safety standards as part of a team from installation to decommissioning and various remedial work required in between.
You will predominantly work night shifts with occasional day duties and be placed on a callout Rota once adequately trained. A company vehicle will be allocated for company use only, which you will need to keep clean and return any kit you are carrying back to your depot at your earliest convenience.
Key Accountabilities
* Ensure all work is undertaken with full regard for the safety of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and members of the public.
* Follow all company health and safety procedures while being alert to identify potential hazards.
* Report all near misses and incidents.
* Read, sign, and comply with all company risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.
* Attend, sign, and comply with all company issued toolbox talks.
* The work will be carried out 24/7, 365 days of the year, involving nights, some days, and occasional weekends, which may include staying away.
* Responsible for arriving at your place of work, which may be one of our depots or a client’s site, in a timely manner.
* Undertake all relevant training to enable proficiency in the installation of our Urban 64 Temporary Traffic Light system.
* Support the Senior Installer or supervisor in decision-making by effectively communicating all on-site considerations.
* Maintain the serviceability and cleanliness of your company vehicle, tooling, and equipment.
* Always represent the company’s best interests by presenting yourself in a professional manner.
* Demonstrate discretion in respect to confidential and commercial information when interfacing with external contractors or customers.
* Carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by the line manager/Supervisor.

* Full driving license.
* A reliable and flexible team player.
* Confident communicator in both verbal and written skills.
* Organized, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
* Effective time management/Punctuality is essential.
* Ideally, have worked within a Highways environment.
* Ideally, have a basic knowledge of traffic light installations.
* CSCS card holder.
* Driving a company van and pickups up to 3.5 Ton in size.

What you will need and what you need to know
* A valid driving license- no more than 6 points.
* Able to use technology (laptop / tablet / mobile phone).
* Happy to travel on a regional/national basis as required.
* We conduct comprehensive D&A (Drugs and Alcohol) testing for all new starters to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
