Accountabilities
Ensure the material is processed in line with the technical drawing / label information, adhering to the quality standards set by the company. Responsible for liaising with the Supervisor and other operatives to ensure a safe and smooth running of the machine shop.
5. Be able to read & interpret technical drawings and labels
6. Take receipt of material and ensure it is in line with the technical drawing / label information; be aware of stock levels & ensure appropriate levels are in place at all times
7. Check quality of material upon receipt for damages / supplier faults, report any damages found immediately to Team Leader
8. Carry out pre task review before using any machine
9. Be able to operate beam saw, panel saw, edge bander, cross cut, CNC router, hinge-plater / hinger competently & in a safe manner, adhering to OPLs and SWIs
10. Follow the processes in line with the technical drawing / label information
11. Check completed work, ensuring a high level of quality & accuracy in line with technical drawing / label information
12. Communicate any errors or issues which could have an effect on production to Team Leader immediately
13. Carry out necessary TPM tasks
14. Work with team colleagues to a safe workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
15. Time served machinist desirable
16. Experience of working within a fast paced manufacturing environment
17. Experience in holiday homes manufacturing
