Job overview
The Leicester Children’s Hospital Paediatric Surgery Team has a vacancy for two Senior Resident Doctors to start as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor with experience of working at a registrar level in paediatric surgery to join the team. This post has been developed to support the continued delivery of high-quality care to children across the Leicester Children’s Hospital. The successful candidates will join our team of paediatric surgeons and paediatricians to provide a wide range of clinical services across the spectrum of paediatric surgery and urology.
Many of our wards have undergone a full or partial refurbishment in the last 24 months, and we have benefitted from the construction of a brand new Paediatric Theatre Reception and Paediatric Recovery area, with plans for an integrated single site Children’s Hospital accommodating all Children’s services on the Leicester Royal Infirmary site. Additionally, the Trust has recently opened a new £42 million Emergency Floor which includes a new Paediatric Emergency Department and a Children's short stay unit (CSSU).
