LAW AT NOTRE DAME

The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, high performing and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Teacher of Law, who will lead and inspire students. This is a post to join a team of professionals in a fast-growing subject area.
The Law & Criminology department is extremely high performing with a track record of achieving Outstanding ALPs value added for over six years. Both subject areas are growth areas with students attracted to the outstanding outcomes, the specialist accommodation, and the impressive links with legal employers in the city. We are especially excited to launch a T Level Legal Services from September 2025, which will have specialist accommodation including a mock court room and specialist resources.
The Law & Criminology department is multi-disciplinary and progressive, working together to design and deliver innovative and forward-looking approaches to teaching and learning. The department offers A Level Law, Level 3 BTEC Extended Certificate and T Level Legal Services.
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher who has the drive and enthusiasm to provide a high quality and challenging learning experience for our students whilst also ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment. Ideally, applicants should have experience of teaching Law; however, experience in teaching Sociology and/or Psychology will be considered.
There is a friendly and professional atmosphere within the department and a strong encouragement to undertake CPD. This is an exciting time to join the department and an opportunity to build upon the outstanding resources initiated by the team. Ideally, applicants should have a track record of outstanding success teaching across Law or a related subject area and be committed to encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success.
