We have a fantastic opportunity within our HR Department for a CSR Coordinator on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for raising the profile of Stateside Foods in the local and surrounding areas to make us the employer of first choice by supporting and developing our internal and external CSR initiatives in line with our CSR strategy. To communicate company news via the newsletter, website, social media and local newspapers. To develop and maintain links with agreed external contacts including local councils, schools and colleges. To support with delivery of training to employees and employee engagement initiatives to develop and maintain a sustainable workforce. To monitor and record the social impact of our charity, community and school activities.
An overview of the role is detailed below:
Internal Communications and Employee Experience
Responsible for employee and change communications – create and deliver messages across a wide range of projects, campaigns and regular organisational updates and news using effective channels such as the company newsletter and whole workforce email, ensuring communications reach staff who do not have access to a computer each day.
Focus as much on engagement as broadcast communication, influencing and encouraging employees from senior level to shop floor.
Working with senior team members to gather information for inclusion in the company CSR report.
Design and produce the company CSR report, in-line with the Global Reporting Initiative standards.
Writing and producing the company newsletter.
Consider and suggest improvements to employee wellbeing, eg. benefits package, mental health awareness, co-ordinating wellness weeks in partnership with Bolton Arena
Promote active use of company benefits including Health Assured and gym membership
To support and develop initiatives to maintain our Investors in People status
Co-ordinate and communicate Inclusion and Diversity initiatives throughout the year
External Communications
Positive promotion through design and development of media content and digital/social assets for social media platforms and company website.
Producing literature for use at events / as part of recruitment
Producing and updating literature to promote the apprenticeship programmes
Updating the company website with news and information
Learning & Development
Support with the creation, transfer and maintenance of online training courses for employees.
Support the Training / Apprentice Supervisor with absence cover for Training Database and KPI reporting.
Create and manage content for Manager’s Support Guides on the company intranet.
CSR
Working with local schools and colleges to promote manufacturing and raise career aspirations of local people, including working in partnership with the IGD to deliver workshops, writing and delivering STEM day learning sessions and supporting local students with mock interview sessions.
Acting as Westhoughton High School’s Enterprise Adviser in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to ensure achievement of the Gatsby objectives for local students
Track attendance at schools for impact reporting purposes.
Co-ordinate community and charity events.
Support apprentices with Charity Challenge communications
Report and record staff fund-raising efforts
Respond to internal and external donation requests.
Updating the company website and CSR notice boards with news and information
Promote active use of company benefits including EAP and gym membership
Raise awareness of GroceryAid to maintain our Gold Award
To support initiatives to maintain our Investors in People status
Monitor social media activity elsewhere to put forward new initiatives
Arrange quarterly litter picks
Purchase of promotional merchandise
Co-ordinate our attendance at Food Festival / Business Awards admin
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required with strong administration experience.
Organisational skills are key with the ability to prioritise.
