Learning Support Assistants Required in Northwest London
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (ages of 11 - 16) within an SEN Provision that specializes in supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education or those with additional needs: Social, Emotional, Mental Health, and Behavioural Needs.
Daily Rate: £100 per day
Location: Northwest London (Harlesden)
Duration: Long-Term (Summer Term)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
The successful applicants will have:
* Ideally experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH, and/or EBD.
* Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behavior.
* Previous experience working with children and/or young people.
* Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.
The role will consist of:
* Working with individuals and groups of students, assisting in ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
* Dealing with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
* Offering support to the class teacher including helping to implement lesson plans, aims, and content.
* Taking small groups of students for defined activities.
* Providing support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
* Building good student-teacher rapport.
