Main duties of the job
* Patient Monitoring: Closely monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status, to ensure stable recovery.
* Post-Operative Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival in the recovery area, identifying any immediate complications or concerns related to the surgery.
* Pain Management: Administer prescribed pain relief medications and assess their effectiveness, adjusting as necessary to ensure patient comfort.
* Patient Education: Provide comprehensive information to patients about post-operative care, including wound care, activity restrictions, and signs of potential complications.
* Communication: Collaborate with the surgical team to relay important information regarding the patient's condition and any observed changes during recovery.
* Emotional Support: Offer reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or anxieties during the recovery process.

Qualifications
* NMC registration
* 2 years experience of working in the NHS
