We are experiencing exciting changes during 2025, this has given us the opportunity to grow our front of house team in our Stockport head office. We are looking for an Office Assistant to provide administrative support to our front of house and back office functions, based across both OCU locations within Stockport town centre. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running and function of both office spaces, managing office supplies, and providing general assistance to staff and visitors. Duties and Responsibilities Administration: Assisting with general administrative tasks, supporting the teams within the business. Deliver packages and mail to respective departments at both locations. Manage office supplies inventory, replenishing stock in the mail/stationary room and the reception area as required and placing orders with vendors. Ad hoc administrative projects or tasks as directed by your line manager. Running errands as and when required. Photocopying, scanning and binding. Ensure printers and photocopiers are topped up with paper/toner. Ensure meetings rooms are tidy after meetings when required. Monitoring our car parks ensuring and arranging for cars to be moved when required. Provide holiday and sickness cover for Facilities Administrator. Reception Cover: Greet visitors and clients in a professional and friendly manner, offering assistance and directing them to the appropriate person or department. Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy, organised, and presentable to a high standard at all times. Ensure the reception area is always supervised. Answer incoming calls promptly, professionally and politely, transferring calls to the appropriate staff members and taking accurate messages. Respond to email enquiries and forward messages to relevant personnel in a timely and professional manner. Welcome and sign in visitors and issue visitor passes, ensuring compliance with security procedures. Keep an inventory of visitors passes and ensure they are returned. Provide information to visitors regarding the organisation, facilities, and services offered (Wi-Fi details on visitors pass etc). Skills and Experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain professionalism at all times Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and document management. Hardworking and reliable with a can-do attitude. Excellent time keeping. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
