About The Oaks Care Home
Located in Newtown, Powys, The Oaks is a purpose-built, luxury nursing and residential home operated by Sandstone Care Group. Opened in January 2020, this 73-bed facility offers residents access to premium amenities, including a coffee shop, hair and nail salon, dedicated dining and lounge areas, activity rooms, and landscaped gardens. Our state-of-the-art care planning and nurse-call technology support the highest standards of care for our residents.

As a Bank Senior Care Assistant at our home, your role may involve:
Undertaking all required training and development
Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, meals, and daily activities
Providing emotional support and companionship
Encouraging residents to engage in their hobbies and personal interests, promoting a fulfilling lifestyle
Ensuring high standards of care and cleanliness within the home
Taking on senior-level responsibilities, such as staff supervisions, appraisals, record management, liaising with external professionals, and interviewing
Working varied shifts on both residential and dementia care floors

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
Candidate Requirements
Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
Positive attitude and a warm, approachable personality
Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Proficiency in record-keeping and use of relevant technologies
Ability to remain calm and guide colleagues effectively under pressure
Flexibility to work shift patterns that meet the needs of our residents
