What's involved with this role: Temporary Business Services Assistant /Admin – Children Services Job Ref: Derbyshire 5255369 Pay Rate: £12.94 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months City: Chesterfield, Derbyshire The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to support Children’s Services teams and functions including the provision of advice and guidance on policies, procedures and processes. Key Responsibilities: Carry out a wide range of business services tasks and processes ensuring performance objectives, targets and timescales are met, allocating and prioritising work across the team as the role requires Co-ordinate work streams within own area of responsibility to manage peaks and troughs in business need. Undertake budget monitoring activities and provide a range of financial data for use in management information reports and accounts reconciliation systems. Qualifications: 5 GCSE’s A-C, or equivalent including English and Mathematics. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Clear understanding of standards and regulations set for the output of the role/team. Comprehensive knowledge and experience of relevant process or procedure, specialised equipment or software systems. Effective communication orally and in writing. Proven initiative and judgement to resolve day - to-day problems independently. Working knowledge of other areas of the authority relevant to the service. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
