Job summary Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital have vacancies for experienced CT radiographers or radiographers willing to undergo our departmental CT Training.Successful candidates will join our dedicated team of Radiographers offeringunparallel CT services to our patients You will be joining the department at a very exciting time when our Radiology Department has engaged in a fully managed equipment replacement programme. This will result in a departmental refurbishment and installation of new imaging equipment incorporating the latest technology. In our current CT suite, we have a Canon Prism and a Canon Prime scanner. The post will potentially offer voluntary rotation to our sister departments, at the Royal County and the Andover War Memorial Hospitals on a Bank contract basis, which is facilitated by having identical equipment across the Trust. Additionally, we areanticipating the installation of another Canon Prime scanner on the Basingstoke site, this will facilitate the introduction of the Targeted Lung Health Screening across the Trust. Main duties of the job HHFT supports specialist services for rare and complex illnesses for patients from across the UK, including liver cancer, colorectal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei. We undertake a wide variety of CT imaging examinations to complement these specialities including body imaging and CT colonography. We also perform a wide range of vascular, oncological, MSK, trauma and neurological studies as well as developing an expanding cardiac and ablation service. Therefore, with the expansion of Radiology services over the next few years and enhanced scope of practice available, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your portfolio. An excellent working knowledge of CT and patient safety is essential with the ability to participate in our extended day,nights, and weekend service.
