Care Assistant (Nightshift)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Alderbrook Care Home, located in Leeds. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, promote independence, and encourage positive choices.
* Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Safety and Comfort: Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
About You:
* Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, or a passion for care and transferable skills.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
