Business Development Manager / Field Sales Executive

Job Overview: As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships within the injection moulding sector. You will work closely with sales and technical teams to identify growth opportunities, develop tailored solutions for clients, and manage the entire sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiation. Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities in the injection moulding market. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners. Ensure excellent customer service and foster long-term partnerships.
3. Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
4. Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Lead presentations and meetings with potential clients. Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company policies and margins.
5. Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with engineering and technical teams to understand product offerings and deliver customized solutions.
6. Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry developments and technological advancements in injection moulding. Use market intelligence to inform business development strategies.
7. Reporting & Administration: Provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and performance to senior management. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales pipeline.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in business development or sales within manufacturing, preferably in injection moulding or related industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
* Results-driven with a focus on achieving/exceeding sales targets.
* Good understanding of CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Desirable Skills
* Understanding of the injection moulding process, product applications, and industry challenges.
* Experience in technical sales or working with engineering teams.
* Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing sector and key players.
* Relevant degree or qualifications in engineering, business, or related fields.
