An exciting opportunity has arisen for two caring and adaptable Achievement Support Assistants to support teaching and learning in our school. The posts will involve general classroom support as well as providing support to groups and individual pupils. The contracted hours include one hour outside of school hours to run an after school club/activity.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidates will:
* Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
* Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities where appropriate.
* Support the academic, social and emotional development of individuals and groups of pupils.
* Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
* Deliver 1:1 programmes including phonics (RWI), maths and guided reading.
* Provide specialist support and liaise with external agencies when required.
Salary & Contract Details:
Hours: 31 hours per week, term-time only (190 days) - daily hours to be discussed at interview
Grade: 4, spinal column points 5 - 7
Salary: £17,461 - £18,020 per annum (actual salary)
