Join us as a Assistant Business Analyst - Contracts Administrator At Scottish Water, every role matters – and in this one, you’ll play a key part in supporting our commercial operations. As a Contracts Administrator, you’ll make sure that important administration tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, helping the wider team deliver vital projects and initiatives that support communities across Scotland. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team, assisting in the management of purchase and payment activities within our Digital portfolio. This includes raising purchase orders, arranging payments, managing invoices and responding to finance and billing queries. You’ll also work closely with our suppliers and strategic partners, as well as with colleagues in Finance and other key areas of the business. What you'll do In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll support our Contract Managers with key administrative tasks, including work order process management and contract data maintenance. You’ll also help develop and maintain procedures and work instructions, and provide training and guidance to stakeholders using our systems and processes. Communication is key, and you’ll manage our team’s comms channels, including our SharePoint site, Yammer, departmental mailboxes and more. You’ll act as a central contact point – responding to queries, capturing feedback and making sure our team is seen as responsive, helpful and customer-focused. What you'll bring This role would suit someone with strong administrative skills and a natural attention to detail. You’ll be confident with numbers and have experience developing guidance and work instructions. You’ll also bring a proactive approach to solving problems, and be comfortable managing your own workload. You should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and experience of financial or business administration. You’ll be a team player with a natural sense of urgency and the drive to get things done. We’ll provide full training on our internal systems – including ServiceNow, Oracle and our invoice matching platform – so you’ll be supported every step of the way. Desirable experience includes: Familiarity with contracts, statements of work and contract administration Knowledge of SharePoint and Yammer Experience using ServiceNow and Oracle Fusion Exposure to contract documentation and management processes Looking out for you While the work we do is important, we know it’s not the only thing that matters. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £27,590. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £ 32,420.
