Key Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met. Support children in developing foundational skills, including early literacy and numeracy. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and resources. Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher. Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within Early Years or Reception, is highly desirable. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or relevant experience). A genuine passion for supporting young learners and a patient, nurturing approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability to work on a supply basis, often at short notice. A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
