Quantity Surveyor Opportunity - Rail Infrastructure
We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading company within the rail infrastructure sector, based in Marlmesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team, playing a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects while managing costs and contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for rail infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
- Review contracts and ensure effective financial management throughout the project life-cycle.
- Conduct regular cost analysis to track project performance and ensure costs are in line with agreed budgets.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including procurement, valuations, and payments.
- Provide accurate financial reporting, highlighting any risks or opportunities for cost savings.
- Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any financial or contractual issues.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the rail, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of contract management and construction processes.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze and manage costs effectively.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard contracts (e.g., NEC or JCT).
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
