Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant needed Location: Marshfield Start Date: Immediate We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a school located in Marshfield. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs, helping them thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: 1:1 Support: Provide tailored 1:1 support to students with specific needs, ensuring their learning and development is guided and nurtured. Classroom Assistance: Work closely with the class teacher to differentiate and adapt learning materials for SEN students, ensuring inclusivity in all lessons. Emotional and Behavioural Support: Support students with emotional regulation, helping manage behaviour in a calm, positive, and consistent manner. Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Help implement and monitor IEPs, working collaboratively with the SENCO to ensure goals are met and progress is tracked effectively. Development of Social Skills: Assist in the development of students' social skills, both within the classroom and in unstructured settings such as break times. Promote Independence: Encourage independence by helping students to build confidence in their abilities, reinforcing positive behaviour, and fostering resilience. Skills and Experience: Experience with SEN: Previous experience working with children who have special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other complex needs. Understanding of SEN Strategies: Knowledge of various strategies to support students with learning difficulties, including visual aids, sensory tools, and communication strategies. Calm and Patient: Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a patient and empathetic approach to working with students who may present challenging behaviour. Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support each child’s development. Why Join Us?
