Kids is seeking a dedicated Play Practitioner to join our team, helping to plan and deliver engaging after-school and youth club activities to children and young people with diverse needs across Dudley. This part-time role offers the chance to work alongside experienced practitioners and sessional staff, creating opportunities for young people to socialise, play, and develop their independence in a safe, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a dedicated team to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for children and young people. Support and supervise a wide range of fun, stimulating activities tailored to different ages and abilities, both 1:1 and in small groups. Assist with Family Day Saturday, providing support to parent/carers and setting up/facilitating activities for young people. Empower young people to choose and participate in activities that interest them, fostering their independence. Ensure that each child’s social, emotional, and physical needs are met with sensitivity to their religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Use various communication methods to effectively engage with children and young people, adapting to their individual needs. Provide personal and physical care when needed, with a compassionate approach. Keep the Team Leader informed of any changes or concerns regarding the children and young people.
