Looking to make the transition from community care into a more formal care home setting? – This could be perfect for you We are looking for carers with a background of working within the community to assists with the care of residents living within their own flats under one roof The care is delivered on a community care type basis with scheduled visits to the resident’s flats and ad-hoc assistance also available to the residents. You will be working straight shifts, no travelling between sites and no unpaid travel time – just delivering the care to the residents that they need and deserve. Job Details: You will undertake scheduled visits to perform standard tasks such as personal care, light domestic duties, basic meal preparation etc You will also be administrating medication as required – which can be a mix of prompted medication as well as assisted medicating. As well as completing the appropriate MARs. You will be working either from 06:00 to 14:00 or 14:00 to 22:00 with hours available on various days throughout the week. Due to the location of this service, we are looking for applicants within the local area or with their own transport due as the timings of public transport options within the area do not match the shift requirements. The pay rate for this role is: £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00 £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00 To apply for this role you must: Be able to provide 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer. Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. Practical moving and handling training) Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service. Have a minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting. Have a full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history. If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this.
