Join Our Team as a Class Teacher at Churchill Special School.

Churchill Special School, part of the Unity Schools Partnership, is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive community. You will be teaching our newly created class of 12 year 7 and 8 ASD pupils, who are working at Key Stage 2 level. This group of pupils will be a pathway where they will be taught the Primary Curriculum leading to a range of Entry Level and Life Skills accreditation till they leave in year 11. As well as being the class teacher for this class you will have form tutor responsibilities, we will support you with delivering the curriculum by ensuring you have weekly PPA which is the equivalent of 1 day and you will be supported by two Teaching Assistants, the Pastoral Team and the Speech and Language Team.

We recently had our ungraded Ofsted Inspection in October 2024 and we are very proud to have been judged to have taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection, which was in 2019 where the school was graded outstanding.
Pupils love our school. ‘Pupils love their school as this is a place where they can be themselves. Pupils build important social skills and make friends. Adults support pupils to celebrate their neurodiversity and recognise the shared similarities they have with others, regardless of background.
