IT Commercial Contracts Manager
Salary: circa £57,000 (National), circa £67,000 (London)
Are you experienced in IT contracts with an interest in managing relationships with large scale business critical IT suppliers? If your answer is yes - we have an exciting new IT Commercial Contracts Manager opening that might be a great fit for you!
Reporting to and supported by a Principal Contract and Commercial Manager, you will take personal responsibility for IT suppliers within your scope and will act as a subject matter authority and role model demonstrating Aviva Values to the benefit of the Aviva Group.
This role provides a great opportunity to join, and help further develop, a team dedicated to providing a centre of excellence in contract and commercial management across Aviva.
A bit about the job:
The purpose of the role is to manage contracts in line with best practice and in accordance with defined policy and standards as well as supporting colleagues in IT and 3rd party performance management roles.
You’ll apply appropriate contractual and commercial management skills, tools and techniques in order to ensure the effectiveness of supplier relationships to meet and exceed contractual obligations, to manage value and to minimize risk.
As our new colleague, you will manage contract and commercial risk across the supply landscape, ensuring both Aviva and supplier adherence to contractual obligations and drive additional opportunities where identified, combining market intelligence with a deep understanding of existing supplier arrangements and business requirements to improve value, both supporting and leading commercial negotiations including work order and contract variation approvals.
You will work closely with business colleagues and procurement to build fit-for-purpose contracts, handle contract and commercial risk and support disputes, breaches, and exits, whilst utilizing appropriate processes, systems, controls, and governance mechanisms to ensure both Aviva and supplier adherence to contract obligations.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* In-life contract and commercial management for large scale medium and long term contracts in a regulated environment
* Commercial and stakeholder management skills, and a consistent track record of building strong internal business and supplier relationships at every level
* Developing and managing multiple IT contracts in a regulatory environment, preferably Financial Services
* Strong negotiation skills, being able to demonstrate experience of supporting, leading, and managing negotiations for complex IT agreements, including dispute management
* Preferably fully qualified or working towards CIPS qualification or equivalent

* Salary around £57,000 (national), £67,000 (London) - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
* Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
