Regulatory Compliance Manager (Electricity)
Location: North/Remote Based
Our client, an ambitious and rapidly expanding business in the Renewable Energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Expert to join their team. As the company continues to grow, this role will be critical in supporting the business to gain its Electricity Supplier Licence and ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations.
About the Role
As the Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to OFGEM electricity distribution regulations and business separation requirements. Working closely with the Operations team, you will lead regulatory and compliance activities, developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain industry standards.
In this position, you will represent the company in regulatory matters, supporting business growth and ensuring compliance with all industry regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be key in preparing and submitting compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the company’s Electricity Supplier Licence application process
Ensure ongoing compliance with OFGEM regulations
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain regulatory standards
Act as the IDNO Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to business separation requirements
Provide guidance on regulatory matters
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to management and regulatory bodies
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, emerging opportunities, gather insights into compliance requirements, preferences, and pain points.
Effectively utilising and inputting data into the selected systems to ensure all relevant information is accurately captured.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a Regulatory Compliance or Compliance Officer role
In-depth knowledge of OFGEM electricity distribution regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Previous experience working on Electricity supplier licence applications
Experience preparing and submitting regulatory compliance reports
The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
