As a Doctoral Research Culture and Development Officer, you'll be right at the heart of supporting change – coordinating a suite of development events and resources for the Doctoral College, and supporting project plans and finances that enable doctoral projects within the new Research Culture Action Plan to realize their planned benefits.
You'll have the chance to work with diverse groups of experts and stakeholders across the university and use your organisational skills to support initiatives that move the dial on the cultural changes that matter most to our community.
You will:
* have excellent organisational skills and be great at keeping projects on track
* be a great team-worker with an eye for detail
* have experience in an administrative/coordination support role, with a good understanding of how to run a successful event, make payments, and track finances
* enjoy updating and maintaining websites
* feel motivated by the idea of making a positive difference to the development of researchers, and to the culture that our research-related staff and students experience.
You may also have insight into higher education or research-related environments in other sectors.
Further information
The role is part-time (21.9 hours) which can be worked over 3-5 days depending on your availability. It is fixed-term until 31 July 2025 due to project funding.
The post will be located in the Doctoral College on the University campus where hybrid working is in operation. You will be expected to work on campus for 1 or 2 days per week.
