What you will do As an Underwriter You will be responsible for assessing retail credit applications from customers, making an informed decision whether to lend. The Underwriting teams are expected to make accurate and prompt decisions, with support from various systems such as credit reference agencies, fraud detection and affordability tools available. These decisions are to be made in accordance with the companies lending policies, you will also identify potential fraudulent applications, liaising with other departments to investigate the situation. We offer Flexible hours, 35 per week within the following hours of business on a Hybrid basis: Monday – Friday 8.00am -8.00pm, Saturday 8.00am - 6.00pm, Sunday 10am-5pm Including Bank Holidays.
