The Role As a Software Engineering Lead, you will: Lead a team of skilled software developers across the full software development lifecycle. Manage the support, maintenance, and upgrades of in-house Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) software toolsets. Oversee workload priorities and contribute to the development of future software strategies. Act as the main point of contact for FTI software toolsets, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Flight Test Engineering teams. Champion software development best practices and ensure compliance with departmental processes. Your Skills and Experience To excel in this role, you’ll need: A degree in Engineering, STEM, or equivalent relevant experience. Demonstrated leadership or team management experience, with the ability to foster collaboration. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly within complex systems. A systems-thinking mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience with tools to process and manipulate large datasets. Proficiency in programming languages and databases such as C++, Java, Oracle, and SQL.
