Charity People are thrilled to be working with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) to find a new Face-to-Face Fundraising Area Manager for Northern Ireland. This is an incredibly exciting role, one that will work closely with a passionate team; inspiring them to achieve fundraising targets and leading them to success.
The RSPB is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature. They bring people together who love birds and other wildlife, and who want to take action to restore the health and diversity of the natural world. The RSPB carry out conservation on a large scale, protect and restore habitats, and save species from extinction. We're living in a nature and climate emergency, and we won't stop whilst the threats persist.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and results-driven leader to recruit, train, and develop a team of Fundraisers, helping them meet and exceed their targets while leading by example. You will monitor key performance metrics, including membership volume, donation amounts, Gift Aid, and retention rates, conducting regular performance reviews and coaching to enhance the teams fundraising skills. This role requires travel across Northern Ireland and occasionally the wider UK, so a full UK-valid driving licence is essential, as well as an understanding of the funding landscape in Northern Ireland.
* A salary of £29,200 - £31,347 per year
* The RSPB is a flexible employer with flexible hours available to suit your individual circumstances.
* Work vehicle: a company van will be provided to cover all work travel and associated expenses.
* Leave: 26 days holiday plus bank holidays. As a staff member you are entitled to one extra day of paid leave each year to spend volunteering. This can be for any charity or voluntary organisation not only the RSPB.
About You
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for the work of the RSPB, combined with a track record in face-to-face fundraising and team management, and an understanding of the fundraising landscape in Northern Ireland. You'll have the skills to recruit, motivate, and inspire a high-performing team while fostering a positive and results-driven culture. With excellent communication, strategic thinking, and organisational abilities, you'll confidently give and receive feedback while upholding ethical fundraising standards. along with a deep understanding of the cause and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
