Associate Civil Engineer
Location: Central London (London Bridge) - Hybrid (3 days in-office per week)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Package Benefits
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Emtech is partnering with a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy to find an Associate Civil Engineer for their London team.
With 80 professionals across Civil & Structural Engineering, Transport, Geotechnical, and Environmental disciplines, this dynamic consultancy delivers high-profile projects across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, and leisure. They also work on large-scale town centre redevelopment projects and international schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to co-lead the Civil Engineering team in London, with a clear path to Director level in the coming years.
Your Role:
1. Oversee and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
2. Lead the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
3. Monitor project finances, invoicing, and payments, reporting to the Project Partner.
4. Manage and mentor a team of engineers, driving technical excellence and career development.
5. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and industry best practices.
6. Take ownership of projects, providing strategic guidance and mitigating risks.
7. Engage with clients and stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and reports.
8. Prepare bids, tenders, and fee proposals for a range of projects.
9. Innovate and deliver creative civil engineering solutions across highways and drainage.
What You Bring:
1. Expertise in highways and drainage design, with a strong grasp of industry regulations (e.g., Manual for Streets, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption).
2. Proficiency in PDS, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD (Civils 3D preferred).
3. Strong leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
4. Experience in CDM regulations and risk assessments.
5. Ability to plan, manage, and inspire teams for maximum effectiveness.
