An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Solicitor to join a leading law firm in Newcastle. The role offers a mix of both contentious and non-contentious construction work, giving you the chance to engage with a wide range of clients and projects within the construction and infrastructure sectors. The role would suit a Construction Solicitor with 2-6 years' post qualifying experience gained solely within construction. The firm are also open to CVs from candidates with some construction experience who are looking to specialise.
Key Responsibilities:
o Advising on construction disputes including adjudication, arbitration, and litigation.
o Managing pre-action and dispute resolution processes such as negotiation and mediation.
o Drafting and reviewing pleadings, witness statements, and expert reports.
o Providing strategic legal advice to clients in relation to disputes arising out of construction contracts.
o Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts and appointments.
o Advising on procurement routes, contract administration, and project delivery methods.
o Assisting clients with risk management and project advisory work throughout the life cycle of construction projects.
