We are looking for a Project Manager to coordinate the STFC-funded Network “Quantum Simulators for Fundamental Physics” (QSimFP).
As the QSimFP Project Manager you will:
* Organise planned project activities such as workshops, sandpits and study groups
* Promote the Network via promotion campaigns, newsletters and maintenance of a dedicated website
* Liaise with project partners at other Research Organizations
* Develop and maintain partnerships with Lakeside Arts, ARTlab Nottingham and VIP Studio.
* Organise outreach and engagement with the wider public
* Support the Principal Investigator in the day-to-day running of the project
You will have:
* Project management experience and/or proven track record of managing own work/team
* Problem solving skills and experience in conflict resolution
* Excellent organisational, budget-management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to make decisions independently
* Networking, actively engaging with and valuing other areas and diverse groups
The post is offered on a fixed-term contract, available from 7th October 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 31 March 2025. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
