Central Ambulance Service are looking to recruit caring and committed individuals for our Patient Transport Services. The main purpose of this role is to safely transport patients with varying mobilities to and from treatment centres or other venues as directed. This will include manual handling of patients assisting them in/out of their homes, the care of patients and generally assisting patients, as well as driving.
Some patients may need to be carried (including stairs), wheeled in a chair or a stretcher and escorted on to and off the vehicle. The safe transportation of these patients is paramount to the role. This includes securing patients, wheelchairs, stretchers etc in the vehicles.
You will be required to drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, ambulances and other vehicles. A Standard UK Licence is required with under 6 points.
Immediate Starts and scheduled starts available.
