Full time - 35 hours per week Open ended (Permanent) Overview We are currently looking to recruit an Examinations Manager to join our team in Registry Services at the University of Edinburgh. The Opportunity: The Examinations Manager is responsible for the preparation and delivery of examination diets at the University. The post holder will manage a team of Examination Officers and invigilation staff to ensure each exam diet (two main diets and one resit diet) run smoothly, ensuring a high-quality student and staff experience. The post holder will work closely with colleagues across the University to deliver this – working with Timetabling teams to secure rooms and model the exam timetables; working with Schools to ensure quality timetable requirements; and working with support services such as Disability and Learning Support Service, Estates Department and others. The service is currently undergoing a review to ensure that it is fit for purpose for the future assessment needs of our students. The post holder will play a key role in understanding the impact of future requirements and introducing and embedding changes resultant from the review. Your skills and attributes for success: Track record in managing and delivering operational services Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful working relationships across organisational boundaries Experience in delivering customer-focused service excellence Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation/problem-solving skills, with the ability to inform and influence people at all levels Ability to work autonomously; to balance competing demands and manage expectations, prioritising objectives bearing in mind the needs of stakeholders and operational priorities Experience in managing and developing staff This is a hybrid position, with a requirement for on-site work in the preparation and across examination diets. £39,347 to £46,974 per annum
