We're currently seeking a Corporate Utility/Energy Specialist to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate should be confident, analytical, and process-driven, with excellent communication skills. The Corporate Utility/Energy Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the organisation’s utility and energy operations, ensuring onboarding of new properties is compliant, efficient and cost-effective energy consumption across all properties managed by HFS facilities. Accuracy is critical in this role, and the Corporate Utility/Energy Specialist should be comfortable working with processes and systems. They should take pride in their work and be very attentive to detail. Accountabilities/Responsibilities Procurement: Process and track purchase orders, ensuring all procurement activities are executed according to company policies. Work closely with the Finance Team to resolve any non-compliant invoices. Vendor Relations: Assist in maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Onboarding and governance of new suppliers. Ensure timely communication, contract compliance, and resolution of any issues. Contract Management: Assist with the preparation, review, and administration of contracts and supplier agreements, ensuring all contracts meet regulatory and company standards. Procurement Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and purchasing trends for management review. Functions: Support departments with Procurement activities and recommendations Utility Management: Oversee all aspects of utility services (electricity, gas, water, etc.) for corporate facilities. Monitor energy usage patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Coordinate with utility providers to ensure the smooth delivery and timely payment of services. Energy Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain utility usage reports, tracking energy consumption, costs, and environmental impact. Analyse energy data and provide recommendations to reduce energy waste and improve sustainability. Support the implementation of energy-saving programs and initiatives. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual energy budgets and cost forecasts. Track expenditures, ensuring that utilities remain within budget constraints. Provide reports and recommendations on energy savings and cost control measures. Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local / national energy regulations and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with sustainability teams to support corporate environmental goals. Implement energy conservation measures and initiatives, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and renewable energy solutions. Skills & Abilities: Proficient in interpreting energy management data Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have very strong written English skills. Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Essential Corporate Energy Knowledge: Familiarity with industry processes, vendor management, and contract administration. Commercial acumen and analytical mindset. Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in processing orders, tracking energy data, and managing contracts. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Diploma or degree in business administration, procurement, energy management, or a related field. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in procurement, energy management, or a related administrative role. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), experience with procurement software, and basic knowledge of energy management systems.
