FPGA Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has emerged for an FPGA Engineer to join an innovative space tech company based in Cambridge, UK. Specialising in Earth Observation, this company is pioneering advanced imaging technologies that will offer new insights to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges. As part of the team, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing the FPGA components that power their mission-critical satellite systems.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog. You will collaborate with a diverse team to ensure that the FPGA systems are robust and meet the demanding requirements of space missions. Key skills for the FPGA Engineer role:
* Solid experience with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, particularly in the context of digital designs
* Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs and IP core integration, such as QSPI and SpaceWire
* Knowledge of high-speed data processing techniques, ideally within mission-critical systems
* Proficiency in FPGA development tools, including Vivado IDE or Xilinx ISE
* Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
