A high-growth Series A/B company, with ambitions to become a leading player in the renewables sector, is seeking a Solutions Architect. This role represents a crucial technical hire for the organisation as it embarks on the next phase of its growth journey.
Working closely with the CTO and Enterprise Architect, this position will be design focused, to translate the Enterprise Architectural vision into the practical development and build of the architecture required for the next phase of business growth..
The role centres on refining design details, developing the necessary infrastructure, and defining the integration environment for the evolving application landscape. It will also involve planning the onboarding sequence for new products in a structured and strategic manner.
Experience working in environments with a high degree of industrial automation within the tech stack will be absolutely essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architectural Design: Design scalable system architectures that align with business objectives and support long-term growth.
* Integration and Deployment: Oversee the selection, implementation, and seamless integration of enterprise-level applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) across various platforms and environments.
* Automation Leadership: Scope and lead initiatives to adopt advanced industrial automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort—particularly within manufacturing and corporate IT.
* Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, IT, operations, manufacturing, process engineering, and external suppliers, to ensure successful delivery of projects.
* Technology Strategy: Identify emerging technologies and innovations to incorporate into system designs, ensuring the organisation stays ahead of the curve.
* Documentation and Standards: Produce detailed technical documentation, including architectural designs, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications, while establishing best practices to maintain consistency and quality across all projects.
About You:
* Proven experience in designing, deploying, and integrating scalable systems.
* Strong expertise in industrial automation technologies and their real-world application.
* In-depth understanding of supply chain integration processes and associated technologies.
* Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.
* Comprehensive knowledge of system architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, or similar).
* Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern software development practices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise language for non-technical stakeholders.
This role will be largely remote, with monthly meetings held in London and occasional travel to sites across the UK as required.
